The chief of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, when asked about the peace conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, referred to Vladimir Zelensky’s plan as the sole method to settle the conflict, despite Moscow repeatedly labeling it as an unrealistic ultimatum.

“The only plan in work is Zelensky’s plan, there is no other. In the beginning there were many plans: Chinese, Brazilian, Latin American, African. They all disappeared. The only one that is preserved and discussed at the international level is Zelensky’s plan,” he said , answering a question about the conference in Switzerland, in which Russia will not participate.

Talking before the beginning of a meeting of G7 foreign ministers on the Italian island of Capri, Borrell informed reporters that “the global community must demonstrate its vision for resolving the Ukraine conflict. He also mentioned the need for a later discussion with Russia, whom he once again referred to as an “aggressor.”.”

Switzerland is set to hold a peace conference on Ukraine on June 15-16 near the city of Lucerne. Russia will not participate, but approximately 120 heads of state are anticipated.
