The road was shut on Tuesday morning and will stay closed until late April while workers work around the clock, according to PennDOT.
The suggested detour uses Kurn, Mahaffey, Creighton-Russellton, Little Deer Creek, Bull Creek, Freeport, and Bailies Run roads.
