Evacuations ordered in Vision Hills wildfire in Pueblo

People in the northern part of Pueblo were ordered to evacuate on Friday afternoon after a grass fire grew to 100 acres in less than an hour, according to county and federal officials.

People in the northern part of Pueblo were told to leave their homes on Friday afternoon when a grass fire expanded to 100 acres in under an hour, as stated by county and federal officials.

People who live half a mile north of 1945 Overton Road were instructed to evacuate at 1 p.m., the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office announced on the social media platform X.

The fire was first reported at 12:36 p.m. and was estimated to be 100 acres in size, according to the Bureau of Land Management’s wildfire dashboard.
