Known as the “The Weirdest Show on Earth,” Jimbo’s Drag Circus will be in B.C.
The first non-American to win RuPaul’s Drag Race Stars (season 8 in 2023), Jimbo starts her cross-Canada tour in Toronto on May 16, then has shows in B.C. on June 9 in Kelowna, Vancouver on June 11, and ends in Victoria, where she has spent most of her adult life, with shows on June 12 and 13.
Jimbo is a multi-talented performance artist, musician, designer, and internationally respected drag clown. A favorite from season one of Canada’s Drag Race (2020), Jimbo’s live show features her popular characters like Casper the Baloney Ghost, Shirley Temple, and Joan Rivers. Best known as her drag persona, Jimbo grew up in London, Ont., and also created the show’s appearance and composed original music with Andrew Taylor for the production.
In addition to all that, Jimbo is also a standup comedian and musician with several singles and plans to release a debut album soon.
“Hey Canada! I’m coming home and I want you to join me for a wild ride of fun, laughs, looks and kooky Drag fun! It’s been my longtime dream to create my own ‘One Queen’ show and I can’t wait to bring it back to where it all started, doing what I love to do most … making people laugh! Bring your friends and save room for baloney!” said Jimbo in a statement.
