A relative found Thomas Ray Velasquez's body while conducting a search and informed authorities on Tuesday. The body was discovered near his residence on Moffat County Road 53, the same area where a Polaris Ranger UTV linked to Velasquez was located by the police in January.

Velasquez was last seen on December 18. He was reported missing on January 6, and search teams carried out an extensive ground and aerial search near his home, as stated by the sheriff’s office.

Authorities say Velasquez's body was partly covered in snow and had been completely covered just days before being found. No foul play is suspected for now.
