'So Sleazy!' Joe Scarborough Wondered If Trump's Lawsuit Against Truth Social Co-Founders Is the Most Trump-Like Story Ever

Joe Scarborough felt he might have found the most Trump-like story after Trump's lawsuit against the co-founders of his media company was reported.

Joe Scarborough felt on Wednesday he might have found the most Trump-like story after co-host Mika Brzezinski reported Donald Trump is suing the co-founders of Trump Media & Technology Group, the new parent company of Truth Social.

The former president’s lawsuit alleges that Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss improperly set up Truth Social as it went public last month. He’s seeking their stake in the company and said they were behind “reckless and wasteful decisions” that affected the company’s stock price.

Trump’s media company came out with a valuation in the billions and its value has fluctuated since then, dropping after an SEC filing revealed Truth Social lost more than $50 million while only bringing in $4 million in revenue.

“Wait a second,” Scarborough said on Wednesday as Brzezinki started reading the news.

He then asked co-host Willie Geist if it was the “Trumpiest story” yet, blasting the former president as a terrible businessman with an addiction to lawsuits.

“So is this not — Willie, is this not the Trumpiest story of all time? So this guy starts a company, goes public, everything Trump does, you know, he loses billions of dollars it seems, and then he sues his co-founders,” Scarborough said. “This is, literally, everything he does, his whole life, he gets a painter to paint his office, they’ll paint it, he’ll sue them, and say, ‘I’ll give you 50%.’ It is so sleazy, but it is how you and I and Mika and everybody else that has been around him for decades, they all say this is how he works. Everybody that goes into business with this guy regrets it because he’s a terrible businessman and he sues you.”

Geist called the Trump media struggles a “difficult soap opera to follow and, frankly, not a very compelling one.”
