A bicyclist who was hit by a semi-truck last week in Downtown Pittsburgh died over the weekend, Pittsburgh police reported Monday afternoon.

The man passed away from his injuries in a hospital at 1:25 a.m. Saturday. No charges are expected to be filed, police said. His identity has not been released by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Stanwix Street at 10:30 a.m. March 26. The bicyclist attempted to cross the intersection in front of a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus and a semi-truck with an attached flatbed, both of which were stopped at a red light on Liberty Avenue.

It seems the vehicles received the green light when the cyclist tried to cross Stanwix Street in front of them, police said.
