People who enjoy beer have until the end of April to visit Grandma’s House.

Add another one to the list of recent Denver brewery closures More recent Denver breweries have also closed down.

On Tuesday, the brewery called Grandma’s House, which has been around for 10 years, announced that it will close at the end of April Grandma’s House (1710 South Broadway, Denver) stated in a post on April 2 that it will be closing at the end of April due to issues with its landlord. The brewery is known for its quirky style Facebook and mentioned that it's time to move on. They also said that they're not the same as they were in 2014 and Denver has changed too. They're taking some time off and may not continue. The official closing date has not been announced yet.

“So, what does the future hold for Grandma? She is going to take some much needed time to relax and reflect on her next move, as she isn’t the same lady she was back in 2014, and Denver isn’t exactly the same cowtown it was either,” the post reads. “We’d like to think we offered something a bit different that still has a place in this great city, but if this is in fact the end, it has been an honor and a privilege to serve you beers made with love in the back of this shabby building.”

An official closing date has not yet been announced.

Indeed, Grandma’s House is nestled into the antique row on South Broadway and fits in with its neighbors there. The space is decked out with baubles and trinkets and embraces its theme with house-made beverages like the Foggy Memory hazy IPA, the Twisted Enkel Belgian ale and Geriatrique lime-lavender hard seltzer.

Grandma’s House expanded with a second location in Trinidad in 2021, but closed about two years later.

“We knew it was going to be an uphill climb, and the first year was decent, but for a variety of reasons in year two we just saw a drop in revenue,” owner Matthew Fuerst told BusinessDen at the time.
