“Ohio Players” will be the Black Keys’ 12th studio album. “No matter who we collaborate with, it never feels like we’re giving up our identity,” Auerbach said of the album. “It only feels like it adds some special touch … But when it came time to finish the album, it was just Pat and me.”

The lead single, “Beautiful People (Stay High),” recently reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart and AAA Airplay charts.

The duo, known for songs like “Tighten Up,” “Howlin’ for You,” “Lonely Boy” and “Gold on the Ceiling,” have been nominated for numerous awards, winning five Grammys, a Brit and an MTV Music Video award in 2010 for their “Tighten Up” video.

The Black Keys have performed in Pittsburgh 10 times, most recently on Oct. 7, 2019, at PPG Paints Arena as part of their Let’s Rock tour.
