Belle Vernon 7, Latrobe 0 — Talia Ross pitched a three-hit shutout with a school record-tying 20 strikeouts to lead Belle Vernon to a nonsection victory.

Ross matched the school record for strikeouts, which was originally set by Bailey Parshall in 2018. The first 19 outs she made were strikeouts.

Gracie Sokol got three hits, including a double, and had three RBIs for the Leopards (5-0). Mia Zubovic got a single, a double, and brought in two runs, and Katie Sokol also got a single and a double.

Kayla Williams got 11 strikeouts for Latrobe (1-3).
