The NBA has fined Kelly Oubre from the Sixers and Coach Nick Nurse $50,000 each for 'Verbally Abusing' Referees After a Bad Call

The NBA on Friday announced it fined Kelly Oubre and coach Nick Nurse $50,000 for their actions toward referees after Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.

The NBA announced on Friday that it fined the Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre and coach Nick Nurse $50,000 because of how they acted towards referees after the game with the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The game ended 108-107 with Oubre missing a layup and feeling he was fouled by a Clippers player. He then raised his middle finger towards an official as the buzzer sounded. Paul George Before that, the Sixers disagreed with a call that gave the ball to the Clippers, and both Oubre and Nurse complained about it

. After the game, they expressed their frustration toward the referees

. While Nurse’s yelling couldn't be understood by home viewers, Oubre was clearly heard saying, “You’re a bitch,” to the refs. Oubre later said sorry for his outburst, and the officials admitted they missed a foul.However, they still had to pay $50,000 for their actions.

The league stated, “Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse has been fined $50,000 for aggressively pursuing and verbally abusing game officials, and 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has been fined $50,000 for verbally abusing and directing an obscene gesture toward game officials, it was announced today by
