Kristi Boutique in Aspinwall, established in 2012, announces it is having a closing sale

High-end women’s and children’s clothing store, Kristi Boutique, in Aspinwall is closing its doors at the end of May.

High-end women’s and children’s clothing store, Kristi Boutique, in Aspinwall is shutting down at the end of May.

The store will close at the end of a Going Out of Business Sale that starts on April 3, according to owner Kristi West.

Established in 2012, West’s store at 339 First St. specializes in informal clothing for women and children “of all ages.” Her women’s collection comes in sizes 0-10 and includes a boys and girls newborn and toddler collection. West started offering baby items in 2017 when she was expecting her first child.

“It’s been an amazing run but, now, with young children and new adventures to find time for, my priorities are changing,” West said in a personal letter sent to clients. “The time has come to start a new chapter. I don’t want this to be a sad goodbye. It will be a retail celebration. I have been feeling the pull to move on for quite some time now, and I am just going to enjoy these last few months with my amazing staff and clients.”

During her time operating the store, West offered private appointments, shopping parties, advance fitting room reservations, styling advice and free at-home drop off within a 5-mile radius.

West expects the sale to last about six weeks to sell off the inventory before the shop is officially closed. The sale will include the shop’s stock of denim, dresses, T-shirts, sweaters, blouses, shorts, handbags, jewelry, sunglasses and baby and kids merchandise. Discounts will range from 20% to 60%.

“This is a positive decision on my part,” West wrote in an email to TribLive. “I’m just ready for the next chapter of life.”
