Denver firefighters are combating a fire at an abandoned building near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and North Franklin Street.

East Colfax Avenue at North Franklin Street in Denver is closed in both directions due to a fire at an abandoned house in the area, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Denver firefighters are fighting a fire at what seems to be an empty building near the intersection of East Colfax and North Franklin, as stated by the Denver Fire Department around 2 p.m. No injuries have been reported.

Crews are combating the fire from the outside and gradually making their way in because of the complex nature of the structure and the current wind conditions, according to the agency's 2:20 p.m. update.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
