A man from Denver was killed in a skiing accident at Vail. The reason for his death is not known

A man from Denver died in a skiing accident at Vail Mountain on Saturday, March 2, officials announced on Friday.

A man from Denver died in a ski accident at Vail Mountain in early March, officials said on Friday.

Gabriel Klein, a 35-year-old man from Denver, died in a skiing accident on a middle-level trail at Vail Ski Resort on Saturday, March 2, according to a statement emailed to the Denver Post from Vail Mountain on Friday.

After the incident, emergency teams took Klein to the Vail Health Hospital Emergency Room following a response from Vail Ski Patrol, as stated in the email.

Beth Howard, Vail Mountain's vice president and chief operating officer, expressed the deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the guest in the statement.

The Eagle County Coroner’s Office confirmed Klein's identity, but the cause of his death has not been determined yet, according to Coroner Kara Bettis.
