GB News host and former leader of the Brexit Party Nigel Farage hinted that he might return to politics in the U.S. this summer, with a job offer in place, to have a significant role in Donald Trump’s campaign.”

During a conversation with TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer on Monday, Farage seemed to talk about his efforts for the UK to leave or reform the World Health Organization due to the current pandemic treaty negotiations.

He was asked about the possibility of returning to politics, especially with the upcoming UK general election. However, Farage hinted that he was more interested in the U.S. and the upcoming presidential election.

The host asked: “When will you decide? Former UKIP leader, former Brexit Party leader… You are also the honorary president of Reform UK. Are you planning to return to frontline politics? If you believe the current politicians are ineffective, don’t we need you?”

Farage responded: “We had the inspiring speech by [Prime Minister] Rishi Sunak this morning. Although, I have to admit, I fell asleep after about 15 minutes of it.”

He also said: “A couple of things have changed since early April, when I turned 60 – it just shows that healthy living pays off…”

“He still looks as young as ever!” Hartley-Brewer added.

Farage continued: “A couple of things have changed, I have been to America twice since then and I do actually have a very firm job offer on the table from America, which is very tempting.”

The host asked: “Is this about you being the British envoy to…”

“No, this is something different but related…”

“Is it to work for Donald Trump?” the host inquired.

“It would indirectly involve helping Donald Trump’s campaign,” Farage said.

Hartley-Brewer asked: “Are you going to be the U.S. ambassador to Britain? That would be fun.”

“That would indeed be fun, but I don’t think it will happen,” Farage said.

“So, what is the job? Is it related to his campaign?” the host pressed.

Farage replied, providing more details: “It’s a confidential offer, obviously, but it would involve heavily participating in the election campaign,” the guest said. “Of course, if he becomes president of America, it clearly impacts the direction of our country too. I haven’t fully made up my mind yet and I don’t have much time left to do so. At the moment, I am leaning towards the U.S., but we'll see.”

Farage interviewed the former president and 2024 Republican nominee for GB News in March, in what was criticized as a free campaign advertisement.

In January, Trump mentioned that “many people” would like to see the Brexiteer as U.S. ambassador to the UK, and he also stated that Farage would do a “great job.” Later in the same month, he called for a standing ovation for Farage, who was present at his Iowa campaign rally.
