Candace Owens Claims AIPAC Was Involved in JFK Assassination

FILE – In this April 26, 2019, file photo, Candace Owens, director of urban engagement for Turning Point USA, speaks at the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action Leadership Forum in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. A Delaware judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by conservative political commentator Candace Owens against USA Today and another media organization over fact-checking coronavirus posts she made on Facebook. The judge ruled earlier this week that Owens had failed to state an actionable claim against USA Today or Lead Stories LLC, a Colorado-based entity. Lead Stories, like USA Today, is paid by Facebook to publish fact-check articles examining whether certain posts contain false information, according to the court ruling. Candace Owens implied on social media that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, is responsible for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The former Daily Wire host promoted the unfounded conspiracy theory in response to a post on X, formerly Twitter, from Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) suggesting AIPAC, a controversial lobbying group, should be required to register with the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

“Foreign interest lobbying group AIPAC is running $300,000 of ads as part of a pressure campaign to influence my votes in Congress,” Massie wrote to his followers.

He asked, “The Foreign Agents Registration Act requires agents of foreign principals to register & disclose certain information. Should AIPAC register w/FARA?”

Owens, who has been vehemently critical of Israel and repeatedly embroiled in controversy over embracing anti-Semitic tropes and parted ways with Daily Wire in March, responded to Massie’s poll by implying that AIPAC played a role in the assassination of JFK.

“Yes but I’m pretty sure they murdered JFK for trying to get this done,” she wrote.

Owens then quote-tweeted his poll demanding he be protected “at all costs.”
