Johnny Marr, James and Atarashii Gakko! have revealed they will be performing concerts in Vancouver

Britpop icon Johnny Marr announces a double-bill with James, and the Japanese girl group Atarashii Gakko! will perform at PNE

Fans of Britpop, get prepared for an exciting lineup featuring Mancunian music legends. Johnny Marr and James The performance is set to take place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Sept. 20.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting May 9 at 10 a.m. on ticketmaster.ca.

Last year, Marr released 'Spirit Power: The Best of Johnny Marr,' which featured material from his four solo albums. He also authored a book called 'Marr’s Guitars,' documenting the instruments he has played throughout his music career with the Smiths, Electronic, Modest Mouse, the Pretenders and more.

James

James, a Britpop band from Manchester led by singer Tim Booth (wearing green pants).

In April, James released their 18th album 'Yummy,' which marked their first studio album to reach No. 1 on the U.K. charts. The band is renowned for their dynamic live performances, driven by vocalist Tim Booth.


Atarashii Gakko!

The Japanese girl group ATARASHII GAKKO! is revolutionizing the traditional J-pop female group model with their electronically-driven sound.

The group recently reimagined the classic Ghostbusters theme for 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Summer', which may be the standout feature of the latest film in the franchise.

The band will be performing at the PNE Forum on Sept. 26. Tickets will go on sale on May 10 at 10 a.m. on livenation.com.
