London Drugs is reconstructing its infrastructure after a cybersecurity breach

The store mentions that there is a large amount of data and code to review, but its teams have been working continuously and there is improvement.

London Drugs is getting help from third-party experts to safely bring its operations back online after a cybersecurity incident that closed stores for five days.

The store mentions that there is a large amount of data and code to review, but its teams have been working continuously and there is improvement.

The Richmond-based company has over 80 stores across B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, all of which have been closed since the cybersecurity incident on Sunday.

The company’s statement mentions that their investigation has not found any proof that customer databases, including those of pharmacy patients and LDExtra members, have been compromised.

It mentions that the impact of the breach on operations has been significant, and the restoration process is strict.

Company president Clint Mahlman says they are figuring out if they can partially reopen to assist customers sooner, especially those needing prescriptions.

Mahlman appreciates the support and understanding shown by customers and suppliers as the company works to reopen in a methodical, safe, and responsible manner, protecting all customers and the London Drugs community.

The statement mentions that the phone lines are working and advises customers to contact their local store or pharmacy if needed, or visit in person during business hours for immediate support.
