Some summer festivals and fall concerts have been announced for Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Here’s what you need to know about each one

Keith Urban is set to be the main act at the Sunfest Country Music Festival at Laketown Ranch on Vancouver Island on August 2.

Other performers at the event, which runs from August 1-4, include Cole Swindell, The Washboard Union, and the Reklaws.

Evanescence, Grammy-award-winners, will be performing at Rogers Arena in October.

The Canadian tour of Evanescence will kick off with a show at Rogers Arena on October 15. Tickets will be available for purchase on April 26 at 10 a.m. on livenation.com.

The tour, which is the band's first headlining trip across the country in over 15 years, will feature support acts Hard rockers Halestorm and dynamic Mexican metallists The Warning as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of Fallen, their album that brought them fame.

Arkells' Big Feelings tour, with support from Poolside, Joel Plaskett Emergency, K. Flay, and Valley, will stop at Rogers Arena on November 15.

The musical lineup for the SummerCamp Rib & Music Fest this summer hasn't been announced yet. But do you really need to know anything more than the fact that there is a free event combining food, games, and music for adults at Vancouver's Jonathan Rogers Park (110 W7th Ave.) from June 21-23.

The event is organized to help the Lifted Organization, which backs local young people and mental health efforts.

Jonathan Rogers Park has been a popular location in the Mount Pleasant area and has been the site for various events such as the Muralfest and a summer concert series. Another event is also scheduled for Penticton.
