Luke Bryan slips on a cellphone and falls on stage in Vancouver

Luke Bryan has a fall during his concert in Vancouver, but quickly recovers.

At Saturday night’s Coast City Country show at B.C. Place, Luke Bryan, the main performer, slipped on a loose cellphone on stage and fell, even though he was wearing his signature Lucchese boots.

The Knockin’ Boots singer fell but quickly got back up and joked about it, mentioning that the fall would become viral. And indeed, it did.

It did go viral.

Luke Bryan, who is known for occasional falls during live shows, was able to laugh about the incident and mentioned his lawyer would be calling. Although the video showed a hard landing, he compared it to cowboys getting thrown off horses and getting back on their feet.

Luke Bryan was the main act at the Coast City Country event, which also featured Dierks Bentley, Brett Young, and other country stars. Read the review of the concert here.

But Luke Bryan is not the only musician to have lost balance on stage recently. It seems to happen quite often during music performances.

Kid Cudi, a hip-hop artist, also had a mishap on stage during his performance at Coachella, resulting in a broken foot. Madonna and U2 guitarist the Edge have experienced similar incidents in the past.

Other recent celebrity falls included Madonna being pulled off a chair by a dancer on stage during her Celebration tour in Seattle.

The most famous stage fall in Vancouver concert history happened in 2015 when U2 guitarist the Edge slipped off the riser during a performance. U2 guitarist the Edge didn’t navigate the stage walkway between the mainstage and B stage properly during the opening night of the Innocence and Experience tour in Vancouver.

The Edge shared a photo on Instagram after the incident, joking about not seeing the edge and showing a cut he received on his right arm.
