Wigle Whiskey begins operating at PNC Park

Pittsburgh-based craft distillery Wigle Whiskey will offer food and drinks at PNC Park during this season announced on its website.

The distillery’s North Shore menu will be on Federal Street for every Pirates home game and major events at the stadium.

Game day menu items include garlic cheese curds, bourbon fries, smoked bourbon buffalo chicken dip, sandwiches, chopped salads and specialty cocktails like the Pirates’ Lemonade and Allegheny Aloha.


Landslide restricts road access in Ross

A landslide has caused the closure of one lane of Evergreen Road in Ross.

The southbound lane between Tally Drive and Evergreen Community Park will probably stay closed until a retaining wall can be constructed, according to Allegheny County Public Works.

A section of the southbound lane of Evergreen Road in Ross will probably be closed until a retaining wall is built following a landslide that has weakened the roadway.
 

The timeline for the road work has not been announced yet.

Public works has declared the northbound lane safe for traffic. Two-way traffic will be in place at the northbound lane. Drivers should expect short stoppages at the closure.
