The previous president Donald Trump again criticized the daughter of the judge in New York managing his secretive payment case, after his attorneys were unable to postpone the trial starting next month.
Last May, Trump’s lawyers requested Judge Juan Merchan to disqualify himself from the case because his daughter works as an executive at a political consulting agency known for working with clients such as President Joe Biden. Merchan refused, stating that he can be "impartial and fair."
Within a day of receiving a restriction on speech from Merchan, Trump criticized the judge by insinuating corruption allegations, alleging that the judge is enriching his daughter through his decisions in the case, in a series of posts on Truth Social.
“Judge Juan Merchan, who is affected by an intense case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (whose daughter represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, and other Radical Liberals, has just posted a picture of me behind bars, her obvious goal, and makes it completely impossible for me to get a fair trial) has now issued another illegal, un-American, unConstitutional ‘order,’ as he continues to try and take away my Rights,” Trump wrote to his followers on Wednesday morning.
The restriction on speech does not prohibit remarks about Merchan or Bragg.
He added, “This Judge, by issuing a vicious ‘Gag Order,’ is wrongfully attempting to deprive me of my First Amendment Right to speak out against the Weaponization of Law Enforcement, including the fact that Crooked Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and their Hacks and Thugs are tracking and following me all across the Country, obsessively trying to persecute me, while everyone knows I have done nothing wrong!”
Trump’s initial legal proceeding regarding secretive payments given to adult film actress Stormy Daniels is scheduled to commence on April 15. New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg accuses Trump of altering business records to conceal the payment in order to keep his purported affair with Daniels concealed from the public during the 2016 election.
So, let me understand this, the Judge’s daughter is allowed to post pictures of her 'dream' of imprisoning me, the Manhattan D.A. is able to say whatever falsehoods about me he desires, the Judge can violate our Laws and Constitution at every turn, but I am not allowed to talk about the attacks against me, and the Lunatics trying to destroy my life, and prevent me from winning the 2024 Presidential Election, which I am dominating,” Trump continued
He concluded, “Maybe the Judge is such a hater because his daughter makes money by working to “Get Trump,” and when he rules against me over and over again, he is making her company, and her, richer and richer. How can this be allowed?”
