So, why do winning and telling the truth have to be mutually exclusive for coaches and sports executives?
And if they don’t want to tell the whole truth, that’s fine. They just don’t have to go out of their way to lie. If they do, though, you shouldn’t be surprised when people in my position call them out for it.

Well, I can’t disagree with a lot of that. But that doesn’t mean it would have been wise to keep Pickett as the starter, especially if he no longer wanted to be here or was unwilling to have a serious competition for the job.
You are smarter than that Tim. Tomlin hasn’t been good for over a decade his personnel decisions stink, his game day coaching stinks, his player development has stunk, and the media caters to his every whim

Finally, here is an email I got from “Hollywood6.”
Prediction the Steelers under Wilson will have a 9-6 season.
“Like you, Hollywood, I am also a bit doubtful of how good Wilson is going to be.”
That said, however good or bad Wilson is, I can guarantee you the Steelers won’t finish 9-6 this year … since the NFL has a 17-game schedule.
Unless, of course, the Steelers are 9-6 after 15 games and they just forfeit the last two since they will have already clinched yet another non-losing season for Mike Tomlin.
And, truly, that's all that really matters now
