Biden’s campaign raised $10 million after the State of the Union address

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign raised $10 million after the State of the Union address last week, which his campaign manager described as their largest 24-hour fundraising achievement so far.

President Joe Biden’s campaign manager said they raised $10 million within 24 hours of the State of the Union address, marking their largest fundraising amount in that timeframe.

While Donald Trump, who is expected to be Biden's opponent in the November election, spent a lot of money during the primary, Biden has been saving money. The money spent by Trump’s political operation also went towards covering legal costs for his four criminal indictments.

The Biden campaign had its best month for grassroots fundraising in February, according to a statement from campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez on Sunday.

Biden’s one-hour speech on Thursday, where he criticized Trump and outlined his plans for a second term, marked the unofficial start of his campaign after Trump secured the Republican nomination.

Although voters in battleground states see the U.S. economy improving, Biden is trailing Trump in seven swing states considered crucial for the election, as indicated by a Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll conducted in February.

Following his State of the Union speech, Biden’s campaign is spending $30 million on ads in battleground states. They are also airing a TV ad poking fun at his age. The president plans to visit more swing states this week, including New Hampshire, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Representative Adam Schiff said a main goal for Democrats should be to inspire young Americans to vote.

On Sunday, California Democrat Representative Adam Schiff stated on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the top priority should be encouraging young people to vote.
