Two military helicopters crashed after colliding during a practice for the 90th anniversary parade of the Royal Malaysian Navy.

“Two military helicopters collided today during a rehearsal for the 90th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM), scheduled for May,” local media wrote.

It is thought that the AgustaWestland AW139 medium multi-role helicopter and its light counterpart, the Eurocopter Fennec, crashed into each other, potentially carrying 10 people. Based on initial information, one of the helicopters crashed at the entrance to the Lumut airbase stadium, while the other fell into the swimming pool of the airbase’s sports complex.
