Britain plans to deploy its Typhoon fighter jets to Poland next year to guard the country’s airspace, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced on Tuesday.

“I can also announce that we will be deploying RAF Typhoons here next year, highlighting how important this issue is to us and that we want to help patrol the skies of Poland. Air defense is very important and the UK wants to support Poland and work closely with you on this,” he said at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk during a visit to Poland.
