On Monday, the Broncos revealed a major update to their uniforms, marking the first change in 27 years. The update includes a total of 10 different combinations in orange, white, and navy, after more than a year of work.

Their new collection, named the Mile High Collection, includes various modifications and a significantly revamped helmet design, while retaining the same color scheme used since 1997.

After receiving over 10,000 survey responses from fans, the club discovered that the majority preferred to keep the current color scheme while also desiring new uniforms.

The process started in January 2023, and involved club executives and owner Carrie Walton Penner making a trip to Nike headquarters in Oregon. They aimed to create versatile uniforms and incorporate elements of Colorado, such as a new pant design and the absence of a jersey side stripe, allowing for any combination of top and bottom in any of the three colors.

These elements include:

• Vents on the numbers, front, and back, with a perforated triangle design that becomes more spaced out as they move up the jersey, representing the thinning air at higher elevations

• A similar triangle pattern on the revamped helmet stripe, starting at the base and ending at the crown, unlike the previous design that continued all the way to the front

• References to “5280” on the helmet bumper and in the pant leg stripe

• A jagged angle on the shoulder, reflecting Colorado's terrain and mirroring the Bronco's jawline on the team's logo

• The words “Broncos Country” and a summit marker stitched into the back neckline of every uniform

• A simplified nameplate with a more rounded form, resembling park signage in Colorado

• Three triangles on the uniform representing the Broncos’ three Super Bowl titles

Denver’s helmets will appear notably different, featuring three variations finished with metallic satin to capture light from different angles, as an exclusive design from Nike. The club also reduced the logo size on the helmet by 15% to enhance the impact of the metallic satin.

The helmets are available in navy and white.

Aside from the league-introduced “Color Rush” uniforms and last year’s “Snowcapped” helmet, this marks the first significant uniform update for the club since 1997.

The orange uniform top serves as their primary home color, white as the primary away color, and navy as the alternate. However, any color of pants can be combined with any of the tops for any game, after removing the side stripe on the uniforms to allow for more flexibility. For example, in 2022, they wore white tops and navy pants, but the orange stripe on the pants clashed with a navy stripe on the side of the uniforms. This issue is no longer present with the cleaner uniform tops.

Teams can wear different uniforms for up to three games every season.

The Mile High Collection's jerseys and clothing are now available for purchase at the team's store at Empower Field. The plan is to expand the clothing line and options throughout the summer and up to the 2024 season.

The team has surprises and free items available at the store all day on Monday, and there will be a celebration from 6-8 p.m.
