Fox Business host Stuart Varney pressed hard right Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) on whether or not the GOP, particularly his MAGA allies, are willing to let Russia win its brutal war in Ukraine.
Perry criticized the Biden administration for its policies on the southern border, claiming it’s a “border with terrorists pouring into the United States.”
Then Varney asked if the GOP is willing to let Putin win in Ukraine due to the border situation. Perry responded, saying they don't want to lose Ukraine.
Varney noted that Ukraine might lose, and Perry disagreed.
Varney asked if Perry is writing off Ukraine, and Perry mentioned the Biden administration's lack of strategy for victory in Ukraine.
Perry mentioned the Democrats and Chuck Schumer, questioning if it's worth it to save Ukraine since they are struggling against Russia. Then he questioned whether it's worth spending billions of dollars on Ukraine with no hope of victory, while neglecting America's border security. and Joe Biden Perry’s remarks come as some of his fellow hardliners, pro-Trump House Republicans are raising eyebrows for their comments regarding Russia and Ukraine. save Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has been under scrutiny for her remarks on Russia and Ukraine, including claims about Christianity and military aid.
Greene also told Steve Bannon on Monday that Ukraine is “attacking” Christianity while Russia is “protecting it” – a wild claim that was quickly fact-checked online.

Perry’s remarks come as some of his fellow hardliners, pro-Trump House Republicans are raising eyebrows for their comments regarding Russia and Ukraine. Ken Buck (R-CO) dubbed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) “Moscow Marjorie” on CNN Monday night for her recent move to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for signaling openness to sending more military aid to Ukraine to fight off Vladimir Putin. Greene also told Steve Bannon on Monday that Ukraine is “attacking” Christianity while Russia is “protecting it” – a wild claim that was quickly fact-checked online.
Given that the Russians famously repress evangelical Christians, in Russia and in occupied Ukraine, this is extraordinary. She can't have heard this by accident and she can't be repeating it because she thinks it is true. https://t.co/Kvmv5YZu0M
