NEW YORK — Once again, the planned game between the Detroit Tigers and New York Mets is canceled due to rain.
The game from Wednesday night will be rescheduled as a doubleheader starting at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, which was originally a day off for both teams before continuous rain hit New York City this week.
When the Tigers, who haven't lost any games, and the Mets, who haven't won any games, couldn't play on Tuesday night, a makeup game was first set for Thursday at 1:10 p.m. Now, the teams will play two games on that day.
Detroit will have its home opener on Friday afternoon against Oakland. New York will be in Cincinnati on Friday night.
