Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) asserted that President Joe Biden’s low poll numbers will improve once a lasting truce is arranged between Israel and Hamas.
In a recent Fox News poll, 53% of registered voters said former President Donald Trump would handle foreign policy better than Biden in the White House. Approximately 42% of those surveyed said Biden would be more capable than Trump on that specific issue.
Nonetheless, in every other area, such as healthcare, election integrity, climate change, and abortion, Biden maintains a significant lead over Trump. The former president narrowly leads Biden in general election polling, according to Real Clear Politics.
Khanna joined Fox News anchor Shannon Bream for an interview on Sunday, responding to the network's most recent poll. The California lawmaker suggested that Biden’s low ratings could change in the next few months.
BREAM: What do you make of that? Americans don’t think he’s managing this well.
KHANNA: I think people realize that there’s a crisis. They see images of, people dying, and they want the war to end. They want Israel to be secure, but they also want Palestinian lives, not to be lost. And I think once the war comes to an end, under the president’s leadership, his numbers will improve, just like his numbers have bounced back on the economy. And in the Bloomberg poll, he’s close the gap in a lot of the swing states.
