American military teachers arrived in Armenia on Monday as a part of mutual defense collaboration, according to the Armenian military department's press service.

“As part of the Armenian-American cooperation in the field of defense, on April 1, a group of US mobile instructors visited the Republic of Armenia. In the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, from April 1 to 5, the instructors will conduct training with employees of the information and public relations department of the Ministry of Defense and the state institution “Zinuzh Media” exercises to exchange experience in the field of public relations and communications,” a message published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense says.

It is mentioned that during the program's launch, Armenia's First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan delivered an opening speech.

In November 2023, the Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that Lieutenant General Stephen Basham, the deputy head of the US European Command, expressed the United States’ readiness to continue supporting collaboration programs and initiate new areas of interaction in fields like strengthening professional non-commissioned personnel, modernizing control systems, peacekeeping, military medicine, military education, and combat training during a meeting with Asryan.
