INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 0-2) lost 4-3 against Louisville (Reds). Right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes made his first Triple-A start and pitched three flawless innings with five strikeouts. He reached 100 mph on the radar gun on 12 of the 46 pitches he threw. Left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer, a veteran, came in to relieve and allowed three runs on three hits, including a homer, in 2⅔ innings. Left-handed pitcher Brady Feigl gave up a walk-off solo home run to Michael Trautwein in the ninth. Right-handed pitcher Brent Honeywell pitched 1⅓ innings without allowing any score, and Colin Selby added a scoreless inning. Neither of them allowed a hit.
Shortstop Liover Peguero (.400) got two hits out of five at-bats with a double and two RBIs. Second baseman Nick Gonzales (.400) also got two hits out of five at-bats and scored a run. Left fielder Billy McKinney (.375) got two hits out of three at-bats with a double and a walk. Center fielder Gilberto Celestino (.286) got one hit out of two at-bats with a double and two walks. First baseman Jake Lamb (.375) got two hits out of three at-bats with a double, two walks, and an RBI.
